End of Grade 1 Book sample

Students use this series of books for By-Sight practices

The student will always first clap the rhythm pattern
and sing the melody line before playing on the keyboard.

Students take about 6 months to reach this level.
Some may learn at a faster pace, other may be slower.

Important
Sight Reading Philosophy

  • Starting with an easy level builds confidence,
enabling the student to play correctly on the first try.

  • The goal is to play steadily without stopping,
    changing tempo or correcting mistakes.
